The first step would be to solve the problem of a short frenulum, which is the cause of the diastema. In our clinic we perform the frenectomy technique, which consists of removing and cutting the frenulum. Once this technique is performed, a visit with our cosmetic specialist, will be recommended and a specific treatment plan will be made to achieve a harmonious smile. In this particular case, a gingivectomy would be necessary to improve the size of the teeth, and once the gum is healed, a dental bonging would be done to close the diastema
